The Schu waterfall

A waterfall with a 15ft. drop over 20-25ft of length. so it is fairly steep. Approx 15 tons of stone was used in ths waterfall not including the tonnage used for the pond. The pump for this project was rated 7500 gph at 5 foot of head. We used a Aquascapes "Grande' bio-falls for the filter.

Approx. a 12 foot drop into a "Rubbermaid" horse trough-the trendy catchword these days is a "pondless" waterfall.
We're moving over 2,000 gph to create this effect, the other key is the use of large Ohio toprock to create this "tumbling" effect.
Photo #50 onward were taken 07/21/06 almost 2 years after installation.

PSPB small pond
Apr 10, 2004

A 25x14 pond where the homeowner wanted to focus on the aquatic plants and fish. A small falls and short stream were added for a little visual interest, and to help with water quality. Plants included; Tropical and cold-hardy water lillies, Chinese lizard's Tail, Arrowwood, Pickerel, Hyacinths, and Fox Tail for the submersible.
Comets, Fantails, and Shibunkin were the fish we added. The pond is not deep enough to support Koi.

Series of shots for a waterfall built at a photography studio. They wanted to use the falls as a back drop. For individual or group shots. The falls drop about 7.0' straight down into a small pool. About 4500 gph to create this effect.

3 years old
Oct 20, 2005

This pond was in it's 3rd season when these shots were taken last fall. The hyacinths and lotus had already been removed from the pond but other than that no other aquatic plants in pond-not my preference.

The stream is heavily planted, and my opinion is that this has kept down string algae and allowed for pond clarity.

The stone and gravel bottom had not been needed to be clean, everything else seems fine.

A totally under maintained landscape and pond-but it's still holding in there.

The album goes from the installation of the pond, how it looked at the end of the 1st month. Then how the pond looked just as fall had started.
